Monotype Imaging's Steve Matteson designed the original Xbox® fonts, and now the new Xbox 360 fonts. The Xbox 360 required custom fonts for both the User Interface (UI), and advertising, marketing and product packaging. The Monotype Imaging team worked closely with the Xbox 360 team to create a fresh family of fonts named Convection™, which feature organic and modern qualities, as well as character set extensions to support the product's worldwide markets. The Convection typeface captures the essence of the Xbox 360 branding.
